In the second quarter of 2022, the top five cannabis-themed games in the United States showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bud Farm: Idle Tycoon Game from LDRLY experienced a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting at 7.7K at the end of March and dropping to around 4.1K by the end of June. Weekly revenue also saw a downward trend, peaking at approximately $168K in late March and settling at $100K by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 63.6K in mid-April before declining to 43.9K by the end of June.

Weed Inc: Idle Tycoon by Metamoki Inc. showed a steady decline in both weekly revenue and active users. Revenue started at $149K at the end of March, gradually decreasing to about $78K by the last week of June. Weekly downloads had a significant dip in April, starting at 76.7K and falling to 32K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, dropping from 227.5K to 141.7K throughout the quarter.

Cheech and Chong Bud Farm, also from LDRLY, maintained relatively stable weekly revenue, averaging around $42K to $50K throughout the quarter. However, downloads saw a sharp decline, starting at 3K in late March and dropping to just over 1K by the end of June. Active users remained steady, fluctuating slightly around the 17K to 18K mark.

Hempire - Weed Growing Game from LBC Studios Inc. experienced a consistent decline in weekly revenue, starting at $54K at the end of March and decreasing to around $32K by the end of June. Downloads also showed a downward trend, beginning at 13.9K and falling to 6.2K. Active users decreased from 29.5K to 18K over the same period.

Weed Firm 2: Back To College by Ludum LLC had relatively stable weekly downloads, starting at 7.8K and ending at 4.7K. Revenue saw a decrease from $22K at the end of March to around $11.8K by the end of June. Active users remained steady, fluctuating slightly around the 52K to 57K range.
